Lead/Senior Consultant - Automation QE 🇮🇳

Our Lead Consultants become trusted advisors to our clients, working alongside senior client stakeholders to ensure delivery and technical excellence. As a Fabric Lead QE, you will lead the charge in ensuring quality excellence across our projects and teams.
The skills you would need to be as a Senior Quality Analyst:
Experience in Object-oriented Programming
At least one programming language, either TypeScript or JavaScript
7 to 8 years’ experience writing Automated Tests and building frameworks around it
Should be able to create and build test plans and strategy, etc
Experience with latest open-sourced automation and performance testing tools like Playwright, cypress, webdriver, Appium, Gatling
Experience in automated API testing
Experience in test data management, test environment management
Good understanding of quality assurance processes
Experience with integrating and executing tests with CI pipelines.
Experience with cloud technologies: AWS or Azure or GCP
Experience in testing web-services in an automated fashion
Experience in XML, JSON messages, Postman
Basic understanding of Dev-ops practices – Docker, K8s, terraform
Experience in writing SQL queries
Good collaboration, communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in working in an Agile development environment
Experience in coaching and mentoring team members
Your key responsibilities as a Lead or Senior Consultant - QE at Fabric:
QE Leadership and Strategy
Set budgeting, recruitment and marketing targets for the QE practice in collaboration with business stakeholders.
Advocate for QE best practices and techniques, ensuring they support the delivery of high-quality and valuable customer solutions.
Champion the “Bake Quality In” culture by mentoring and actively coaching other team members.
Lead and contribute to the development of QE programs that train and upskill team members on the latest QE practices and tools.
Drive teams in the adoption of Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery best practices, ensuring these principles are integrated into all projects.
Provide guidance on functional and non-functional testing frameworks, helping teams make informed decisions about their practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in quality software delivery.
Contribute to the technical roadmap by identifying components and potential bottlenecks, providing creative solutions to avoid project roadblocks.
Support and develop technical leadership capabilities within the growing Engineering team.
QE Delivery and Execution
Work closely with Delivery teams at all stages of the project lifecycle, ensuring that quality is integral in every step of the process.
Engage in discovery and inception phases to ensure quality principles are embedded from the start.
Provide hands-on expertise and support across projects, ensuring robust testing frameworks are in place and quality assurance is consistently prioritised.
Foster collaboration by pairing with team members to enhance skill development and knowledge sharing.
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as an advisor and advocate for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Provide strategic advice on testing, quality processes, and methodologies to clients, ensuring alignment with their goals
Thought Leadership and Branding
Act as an ambassador for Fabric, promoting our values, practices and commitment to building software right.
Create and share thought leadership content relevant to the QE field, contributing to social media campaigns, blogs and presentations.
Represent Fabric at meetups, conferences, and industry forums to enhance our brand’s technical credibility and attract potential clients and talents.
Team Development and Mentorship
Mentor and coach less experienced QEs within the Fabric team and client organisations, promoting continuous learning and growth.
Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.
Contribute to the recruitment and retention of QE professionals, participating in interviews and evaluation to build a strong, skilled team.
About you:
Strong expertise in QE best practices and a passion for delivering quality-driven solutions.
Experience in Agile, Lean and Continuous Delivery environments, with a clear understanding of how to integrate quality into every stage of the delivery process.
Proficiency in functional and non-functional testing frameworks, automation, and quality control processes.
Proven track record of mentoring and coaching team members to achieve their full potential.
Ability to identify and implement process improvements to optimise quality assurance practice.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate with cross functional teams.
Experience with modern testing tools, technologies and frameworks, and a passion for staying current with emerging trends in the QE field.
A strong advocate for the QE discipline within a fast-paced, delivery-focus environment.
